My Story

I’m an Australian artist living in Lismore, NSW. I create vibrant abstract paintings and drawings, using dynamic movements of beautiful colours and dramatic contrasts. I love working on my creations, which express high positive energy. I work quickly to music, responding to my emotions in an expressive and gestural style. Current artworks are inspired by nature and the human body.

Recently I’ve focused on extra large, colourful abstract paintings which evoke positive emotions and make a visual impact.

I also enjoy working with the live model in Dynamic Drawing weekly sessions, where I create layered, abstract figure drawings

My years of experimental art practice, colour studies and figure drawing from the life model, allow me to be a free spirit in my art - spontaneous, innovative, bold, joyful.

University of NSW, College of Fine Arts, Sydney. BA Visual Arts. Graduated 1986.

National Art School, Sydney. Post Certificate - painting and drawing. Graduated 1982.

Hornsby TAAFE Sydney. Certificate - Art and Design. Graduated 1979.

My artwork is owned by Collectors from USA, Australia, United Kingdom and Japan.

PAINTINGS: My paintings are classified by size for shipping purposes as MEDIUM OR LARGE. PRICE INCLUDES SHIPPING.

MEDIUM SIZE PAINTINGS - Less than 48 inches (122cm) on the largest side. These artworks are on canvas stretched over a timber frame, complete with stainless steel D-rings and strong adjustable cord. You will receive your painting READY TO HANG.

LARGE PAINTINGS - Over 48 inches (122cm) on any side. These artworks are painted on stretched canvas. They are taken off the stretcher frame and economically shipped from Australia ROLLED A TUBE. You would need to have your local picture framer re-stretch the piece onto a new stretcher frame, then it will be ready to hang. An outer frame is optional, but not needed, because my large artworks are painted on all sides as a continuation of the picture. Please see side view of the artwork in additional images.

UN-STRETCHED PAINTINGS on loose sheets of canvas require framing or stretching over a timber frame. Save on purchase prices and shipping costs by ordering un-stretched works on canvas. Shipped rolled in a tube.

DRAWINGS: my drawings are on 240gsm cartridge paper, unless otherwise stated. Please check the description of the individual artwork.

OUTER FRAMING: all artworks are SOLD UNFRAMED. This includes paintings and drawings.

PACKAGING: MEDIUM SIZE PAINTINGS - READY TO HANG artworks are well packed with acid free tissue, glassine wrap, protective layers of cardboard, foam board and bubblewrap, then sealed in waterproof plastic with heavy duty packaging tape. The artwork is then shipped in a cardboard box.

PACKAGING: LARGE SIZE PAINTINGS - ROLLED: well packed with acid free tissue, glassine wrap, bubble wrap. sealed in waterproof plastic. Economically shipped from Australia rolled in a heavy duty plastic tube.

PACKAGING: DRAWINGS ON PAPER - packed flat with acid free tissue, glassine wrap, bubble wrap, sealed in waterproof plastic. Protected by cardboard or foam board. Shipped in a cardboard box.

DISPATCH TIME: shipped within 7 business days. TRACKING ON ALL SHIPMENTS.

RETURNS : If you are not completely satisfied with your art purchase, please > CONTACT me within 7 business days to arrange return of the artwork and a full refund.

NOTE: Returned artwork must be received in its original condition. Please ship in the original packaging to prevent damage in transit. Damaged returned artwork badly packed, will not receive a refund.
