Our giant fig tree (Ficus Watkinsiana) is a protected rainforest remnant. It provides a haven for birds, food for flying foxes and welcome shade for us humans in increasingly hot summers. How old is it? How long will it live? I don’t know, but I value this magnificent tree highly.
